Dear humans, It’s time to strike back!
The time for witnessing genocide – then resuming life as normal – is over.
Enough is enough. For over days we have witnessed the most horrific images of genocide live streamed to our devices. We have protested, boycotted and heckled.
Yet we are all asking ‘what more can I do?’
Let’s be frank. Without sacrificing our own comfort, we will not achieve justice and liberation. We must strike our complicit governments where it hurts them most. Money.
By refusing to work and spend we can apply collective economic pressure to force our governments to take action. It’s time for us to strike back.
Join the global strike for peace on the final friday of every month!
No work. No spending.
Demands
01.
A permanent ceasefire in Palestine & Lebanon
02.
Halt all weapon sales and military support to israel
03.
Accountability for the war crimes & genocide in gaza
Together, we can wipe out $197.5 billion from the global economy, every month!
That’s the potential impact on the global economy if even just one third of the global population refused to work and spend on the final Friday of every month.
That’s $2.37 trillion annually.
FAQs
The strike aims to apply economic pressure on governments that have remained silent, complicit, or have directly fueled ongoing conflicts and injustices. Striking is a powerful strategy that leverages our collective economic influence to prompt governmental action. While this effort will require us to embrace discomfort and make sacrifices in solidarity, we are hopeful that it will compel governments to reconsider their positions and act. We must try, as history shows that sustained pressure can lead to change
We recognize that not everyone is in a position to participate in a full strike. As an alternative, you could use sick days or vacation days to join the strike initially. We also recommend discussing your intentions with your employer—open communication can sometimes lead to unexpected support. If you are part of a union, consult with them first as they may provide protection and advice. Additionally, rallying coworkers to join may demonstrate strength in numbers, potentially leading to greater impact and support.
